If you have been watching our company for a while, you will know that we are committed to becoming a sustainable business in both the short and long term. We’re building up our ESG team, so we can learn more and help other companies on their journey.

We also became carbon-negative last year and want to use achieving this goal as the starting point for more regular environmental and social efforts. This year, we’ve already planted over 800 trees in collaboration with the Gaja Club and we’re currently planning our next year’s activities in the afforestation area.

2023 is also the year when another of our business goals will come true: we’re going to be presenting at this year’s COP28 that will take place between November 30 and December 12 at the Expo City in Dubai.

What is COP28?

COP28 in the 28th session of the annual environmental Conference of the Parties (COP) to United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. It’s been held since 1971 with the goal of tackling any issues related to the current climate crisis. The event is attended by 198 Parties (197 countries and the European Union) every year and especially in recent years, played a pivotal role in crucial environmental agreements.

Our goals for COP28

As Clouds on Mars, we have been Gold Microsoft Technology Partner for the past 6 years. One of our core services is supporting other companies in building ESG reports, using Microsoft Sustainability Manager and a set of custom tools that our team is working on. That is why we have been chosen to be one of the 20 global companies that will be joining Microsoft at COP28 in their pavilion at Dubai’s Expo City.

Our ESG Solutions Manager, Jan Mizgajski and the Commercial Director at Clouds on Mars, Marcin Stryjczak will also present a talk on ‘Addressing Carbon Emission in ESG Reporting: Strategies for Effective Reporting and Management’ where they will discuss effective strategies for addressing climate- and energy-related concerns within the context of ESG reporting. They will also show our own technology solutions that our team has developed to help companies identify and report on material ESG issues, visualize their data and manage it for a more sustainable future.

Where you can find us

To attend our lecture and discuss your ESG-related questions with Jan and Marcin, join us at the Technology and Innovation Hub, Hall1, COP28 Green Zone at the Expo City in Dubai on December 5th, 11 am GST (GMT +4).
