The client hosted many different IT systems across different regions around the globe on a variety of platforms, using a diverse mix of technologies, standards, and protocols. Although there were elements of business intelligence and reporting present, there was no single enterprise-wide BI solution to manage and translate the data held in these systems. Reporting and BI capability was very limited & manually intensive in places. To help understand and translate the data held within the company and plan future business strategies there was a need to determine what were the requirements for Business Intelligence & reporting.
