As Clouds on Mars, by the end of 2020, we will reach a negative level of net carbon emission. But we are not stopping here - we will also erase all carbon footprint from the moment we were founded by the end of 2021. Graphs below present our carbon emission and prediction of carbon reduction we are going to achieve. The first stop on the road to make our world better? March 2020 is the month when we are going to plant over 3000 trees. And it’s just the beginning!
Our carbon emission consists mostly of electricity we use and business trips we make, not only by plains but also by cars and trains. Trees we plant in March, and other actions mentioned in section below will help us to become Carbon Negative almost instantly.
This cumulative graph shows our carbon footprint from the moment Clouds on Mars was founded. All of it will be erased by the end of 2021!
We will plant as many trees as it takes to erase our carbon footprint, and more!
Any possible documents, including those exchanged with the collaborators, will be replaced by its digital version.
From energy consumption to the waste we generate in our daily work, all this will be revalued for a better environment.
We will redesign our HQ with plenty of carbon-absorbing plants, for cleaner air and better vibe.
We will educate not only our team but also our collaborators and our entire business environment.
We believe data is a power that can and should be used for fighting with climate change. Rightfully data usage raises awareness and helps with starting a necessary discussion within society. That is why we have joined AI for Earth, Microsoft’s program that focuses on using artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve living conditions on Earth and keep the environment in top condition for as long as possible. Artificial intelligence can also help you understand climate change, anticipate natural disasters, and take care of endangered species and their surroundings.
The solution created by Clouds on Mars not only reports but also predicts the level of air pollution in the two largest Polish cities affected by smog - Warsaw and Krakow. Our aim is to collect data for the whole country and to forecast pollution even more accurate and more in advance.
